The Subaru 2015 Freeride Series (SFS) is coming to Snowbird in February

The Subaru Freeride Series (SFS) is North and South America’s premier big mountain competition series for skiers and snowboarders. The SFS represents the amalgamation of the Freeskiing World Tour, established in 1998, and Masters of Snowboarding, established in 2008. Dedicated to athletes, quality, culture, competition, freeride history and sport progression, the SFS will host four stops at North America’s top big mountain venues in 2015 and one in South America.
The first event will be right here in gorgeous Utah Feb 4th-8th hosted at Snowbird Resort. Other Winter 2015 stops include Telluride, CO (March 4-8) and Big Sky, MT (March 25-29). Final stop is TBD.

SFS events are open competitions with a qualifier competition day at each stop in addition to a pre-qualified athlete list. SFS events have an independent point structure enabling athletes to win individual stops, the overall series’ championship and the coveted Sickbird Awards at each stop. The Subaru Freeride Series is a key activation of the Subaru WinterFest and a Mountain Sports International production.
The Subaru Freeride Series is sponsored by Subaru, Sierra Nevada, Clif Bar and The North Face.
Alongside the competition is Subaru Winterfest, a lifestyle tour stopping at some of the best mountains across the country. Join us to demo the latest equipment from Nordica and LibTech, take part in ski and ride clinics, grab some giveaways, and test your skills in the Freeride Experience. Plus there will be live music and concerts for the enthusiast and the whole family.
At each of the Subaru Freeride Series stops, the WinterFest includes Subaru partners:

National Ski Patrol
Professional Ski Instructors of America
Nordica
LibTech
Clif Bar
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
The North Face
