Adult Autism Center
Doug Smith Subaru participated in the grand opening of the Adult Autism Center of Lifetime Learning storefront on November 29, 2023, as a celebration of inclusivity and support for the neurodiverse community. The storefront showcases paintings, candles, greeting cards, ornaments, and various crafts and art, all made by adults with autism. These items are available to the public, and the money earned goes back to the Center. With the help of Doug Smith Subaru's marketing team, the storefront, and the Center were showcased to those who may not be familiar with the inner workings of the community they have built there. The staff at the Autism Council of Utah are all volunteer-based and work tirelessly to make the Adult Autism Center of Lifetime Learning an inviting and educational space for those with autism and their families to enjoy. To help the storefront, a table was set up at the dealership to showcase some of the holiday items created, which could be purchased on-site at the showroom through a QR code or website link. Doug Smith Subaru will continue to support the Adult Autism Center for Learning and hopes to help them throughout the coming years to earn much-needed money for their community.
Doug Smith Subaru Dog Park
In October, American Fork City and Doug Smith Subaru paired up to celebrate the Doug Smith Subaru Dog Park Grand Opening. The Grand Opening was combined with the city's Pet-A-Palooza event which celebrates dogs and pets with local communities. Charities, clinics, food trucks, vendors, and residents all participated in the event giving away dog toys, cheap pet vaccinations, treats, and games. Not only did we get to enjoy the community and vendors, but the event also happened to occur during this year's solar eclipse. Everyone took a moment to share eclipse glasses, talk about the occurrence, and come together for the phenomenon while hanging out with their pets and taking pictures. It was quite the combination of events coming together that made it a party! Dogs played, humans played, and we got to cut the ribbon to the new dog park, which many had been enjoying even before the official opening. The dog park consists of a water spout with a bowl for the dogs, benches, garbage cans, and beautiful landscaping with a walking path for the owners to enjoy while their dogs ran around the gated area. Many commented on the cleanliness and respect people have had for the park. Not only did locals express their gratitude for the newly remodeled park, but people from tens of miles away have come to enjoy the park, telling us it's the best dog park around. We love being a part of this community and American Fork City, and we are so glad we are able to bring people together for these events while beautifying our surroundings for others to enjoy as well.

Adopt a Classroom
Doug Smith Subaru's collaboration with AdoptAClassroom.org at Parkview Elementary in Payson, Utah, was a successful outreach that deeply impacted the school community. In a memorable assembly event, Doug Smith Subaru surprised the school by adopting all 25 classrooms, which gave each teacher $500 to spend on much needed supplies that many times comes out of their own pockets. The event brought tears of joy to both teachers and students as they received not only financial support but also thoughtful supplies. With a generous donation of $12,500, Doug Smith Subaru's dedication to education and their local community shone brightly. They not only catered lunch for the teachers after the assembly, ensuring they felt appreciated and energized, but they also provided notebooks and pens for every student and classroom kits filled with essential supplies to kickstart the school year on a positive note. This is the 3rd year Doug Smith Subaru has partnered with Parkview Elementary. This partnership exemplifies the profound impact that local businesses can have on the well-being and educational experiences of students and teachers in their community
Arbor Day American Fork City
In celebration of Arbor Day American Fork City and Doug Smith Subaru teamed up to show their love of the Earth by planting and mulching trees at Val Vista Park in American Fork City. On April 27, 2023, fourth graders from Deerfield Elementary walked over to Val Vista Park to learn from Mayor Brad Frost the importance of being outside and the value of good trees in our community. The children then learned how to plant one of six new trees donated generously by Doug Smith Subaru. Afterwards, the school children, together with the city park employees, beautification committee, and volunteers from Doug Smith Subaru, planted the remaining five trees and began mulching around the existing 60 trees at the park. Everyone was able to relax afterwards and enjoy some delicious treats, drinks, and sandwiches, also generously donated by Doug Smith Subaru. It was a great learning event for all and helped beautify our precious planet, city, and neighborhood.
